Victor Graf has been a student of film history
since the 1960s. He graduated from Pacific University in 1971 with a BA in communications,
including filmmaking and broadcasting. He completed additional film courses at Portland
State University and the Museum Art School (Northwest College of Art). He was staff
researcher for the Northwest Film Center, Portland, Oregon, from 1974 to 1994. He has
written on film and other fields as a staff and freelance writer and is active in
photography and music. He lives in his native Portland.
