Thanhouser Career Synopsis: S.A. Blackmer was an actor with Thanhouser in 1914.

Biographical Notes: Sidney Alderman Blackmer was born in Salisbury, North Carolina on July 13, 1895. He is believed to have entered films around 1914, with Thanhouser's Beating Back being one of his early efforts. In the same year he was seen in the 20-episode Eclectic serial, The Perils of Pauline. Blackmer died in New York City on October 5, 1973.
