CRONJAGER, Jules

Cameraman (1914-1915)

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Jules Cronjager was a cameraman at the Thanhouser studio in 1914 and 1915.

Biographical Notes: Jules Cronjager was the brother of Henry Cronjager, one of Thanhouser's most prominent cameramen. Jules worked for several independent film companies, including Thanhouser, but was best known for his later work with David O. Selznick. His death occurred at the University Hospital, near Culver City, California, on December 25, 1934. Three weeks earlier he had suffered a heart attack. Burial took place in the Forest Lawn Cemetery. He was survived by his wife, his brother, Henry, and a nephew, Edward Cronjager.
