LOVE, Sgt. William *

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Sgt. William Love, of the National Guard, 2nd Battalion, New York City, was in the battalion featured in the film, The Patriot and the Spy. He and about 150 other soldiers participated in the production.

Notes: He may also have been the Sgt. Love mentioned in an article about the Thanhouser film, The Capture of New York (released September 1, 1912), although the article, quoted under that listing, does not state that Sgt. Love appeared in the film. In certain publicity for The Patriot and the Spy, a Sgt. William Lobe is mentioned; he may have been the same person as Sgt. William Love.
