Biographical Notes: The following information is from the January 29, 1916 edition of the Motion Picture News Studio Directory. Violet Isabel Drewery was born in Flushing, New York in 1897, was educated at the Morris High School, New York, and followed a stage career as a dancer in classic interpretations. In vaudeville she was seen with Gertrude Hoffman. Miss Drewery was engaged by Thanhouser for a special dancing role and was subsequently signed as a stock player. She was described as having a fair complexion, blonde hair, and gray eyes. She enjoyed swimming and spoke a variety of languages.
