Thanhouser Career Synopsis: James M. Sheldon, who was associated with financier John M. Burnham, was in 1914 named to head the Syndicate Film Corporation, distributor of the 1914-1915 Thanhouser serial, The Million Dollar Mystery. Earlier he was a star football player for the University of Chicago.
