Thanhouser Career Synopsis: May Wallace played the part of the wife in the 1914 Thanhouser serial, The Million Dollar Mystery.

Biographical Notes: At least two, possibly three actresses were named May Wallace: 1. May Wallace was born in Russiaville, Indiana on August 23, 1877. She followed a career in vaudeville and motion pictures and moved to Los Angeles sometime before 1920. She married Thomas W. Maddox. She died in Los Angeles on December 11, 1938 and was survived by her husband, a son, Warren Ludlow, and a daughter, Mrs. Clara A. Spaulding. She appeared in many films, including the Keystone release, Laughing Gas. 2. May Wallace, an actress, was born in 1880 and died in New York City on September 16, 1928. 3. A photograph captioned May Wallace appeared in Broadway Magazine, September 2, 1899.
