At one time he worked closely with Mignon Anderson, and when he became the father of a child in 1915, the infant girl was named Mignon Anderson Jones in honor of the actress. Many years later, grown up and known by her married name, Mignon Anderson Porteé, she attended "Thanhouser Night," a retrospective of Thanhouser films and history conducted by the author at Iona College, New Rochelle, on October 7, 1988. She related that for many years Mignon Anderson sent her letters and gifts.
