Thanhouser Career Synopsis: J.W. McKenzie worked at the Thanhouser studio in Jacksonville, Florida in 1916. The April 1, 1916 issue of The New York Dramatic Mirror noted that he was critically injured in an automobile accident which caused the death of Thanhouser actor A. Sully Guard, and the serious injury of Norman Acker and Harry Tipton.
