Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Charles Howe was a member of the Thanhouser studio rowing team in The Varsity Race.

Biographical Notes: Variety, January 16, 1929, carried the following obituary, which may have been that of the Thanhouser actor: "Charles Howe, 47, vaudevillian, died January 9, [1929] of acute indigestion at Edgemore, Long Island, New York. Mr. Howe had not been on the stage in two years. He is survived by his widow, Ada Howe, and his brother, Sam Howe, and three sisters. Interment in Washington Cemetery, Long Island."
