Biographical Notes: John Burke, born in Keokuk County, Iowa in 1859, served as treasurer of the United States of America during the administration of President Woodrow Wilson. Burke's term began on April 1, 1913 and ended on January 5, 1921. In 1914, while he was holding this position, he appeared with certain other government officials in a segment of Episode 7 of The Million Dollar Mystery.
