RUBLE, Robert *

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Robert Ruble, a railroad official, had a cameo role as best man in the wedding in A Denver Romance, a 1914 Thanhouser release.

Biographical Notes: The following information was supplied to the author by Federico Peña, mayor of Denver in 1988, and Nancy MacDougal, of the Metropolitan State College in the same city: Robert Ruble, assistant general passenger agent for the Union Pacific Railroad in Denver, Colorado, came to the Denver from Arkansas City in 1891, as the result of a railroad transfer. He became a widely known local citizen and was involved in many city functions. Ruble died from a heart attack, brought on by rheumatism, in Denver on July 15, 1916.
