Thanhouser Career Synopsis: John Stone acted in a Thanhouser film in 1915.

Biographical Notes: Note: Could the Thanhouser actor be the same person as John Stone, a scenario writer and film director, who was born in New York City on September 12, 1888 and who followed a career as a teacher in public schools there, later going to Hollywood in 1919, where he became a script reader? This John Stone later became a film script writer, producer, and director. Later in his life, he was very active in Jewish religious affairs in the Los Angeles area. He died at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California on June 3, 1961, and was survived by his widow, Lucille; two sons, David and Peter; and a brother, Moe Strumwasser.
