Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Frank Herbert acted in a Falstaff comedy made in 1915 and released in 1916.
Biographical Notes: Frank Herbert, age 25, died on January 22, 1923 in Marion, Ohio, following an illness of four days' duration. He had been traveling with Eugene O'Brien's Steve company, had contracted pneumonia, and was left behind when the company moved on. An obituary in Variety, January 25, 1923, stated that Herbert had been the featured player earlier in The Night Boat in vaudeville and had also appeared in Friendly Enemies. His connection with Thanhouser is believed to have been very brief. It is known that he acted in at least one film produced in the autumn of 1915.
