RUSKIN, Jacob *

Thanhouser Career Synopsis: Jacob K. Ruskin, a New Rochelle attorney, appeared in at least two Thanhouser films.

Biographical Notes: Jacob K. Ruskin was born in 1886. He practiced law and at one time served as a judge. His name appeared frequently in New Rochelle newspapers in connection with local matters. He appeared in the 1913 Thanhouser release of The Missing Witness. He was employed as a consultant to the film, and when the actor playing the part of an attorney failed to appear, Ruskin acted the role. He must have liked acting, for in 1914 he was busy on the set of In the Jury Room, released in 1915. His death occurred in New Rochelle, New York on November 6, 1962.
