SYNOPSIS, Reel Life, May 16, 1914:
"Papita, the star horseback rider of the circus, is much annoyed by the unwelcome attentions of the ringmaster. He happens to see her with the doctor of the village where they are stopping. His jealousy aroused, he plans to avenge himself on the girl by cutting the rein of the horse which she is going to ride that day. The accident occurs, whereby Papita's kneecap is fractured. The doctor, who is at the circus with his sister, attends her and takes her to his home. She is unable to go on with the show the next day, and that evening when her father comes to bid her goodbye, the doctor suddenly asks his consent to marry Papita, whom he confesses he has long admired and whose troupe he has followed from town to town. He offers the old father a home with them; and thus a serious mishap ends in much happiness."
REVIEW, The Morning Telegraph, May 17, 1914:
"Papita, the star bareback rider of a traveling circus, is much annoyed by the unwelcome attentions of the ringmaster. Jealous of the handsome young doctor in the town where they are stopping, the aforesaid gentleman decides to cut the rein of the horse which she is about to ride. She falls and fractures her kneecap. The doctor attends her and takes her to his home. She is unable to go on with the circus the next day, and when her old father arrives to take her home the doctor asks and receives her hand in marriage."
REVIEW, The Moving Picture World, May 30, 1914:
"New Rochelle companies seem fond of circus pictures and usually make good ones; this is a good one though the story is slight. It has the usual circus parade, which we commend. The melodrama seems new enough and will interest and please. The photography is good."
