BACKGROUND OF THE SCENARIO: This film, believed to be one-reel in length, was taken in October 1913 and was shown locally at Loew's Theatre in New Rochelle. An article in The New Rochelle Pioneer, October 25, 1913, gave details: "The show at Loew's Theatre continues to be just as good as in previous weeks. A 3-reel photoplay, entitled The Vampire has attracted thousands of people and today marks the last time that it will be shown. A special feature for Monday is the showing of the photoplay taken of the recent Democratic Club clambake, by Thanhouser...."
