SYNOPSIS, Reel Life, February 21, 1914:

"Muriel Adams, a young musical student, spurns the advances of Boyd Martin because he puts no romantic fervor into his proposal. Professor Gregg, her teacher, however, knows all the tricks of the stage Romeo and Sir Launcelot and succeeds in inducing Muriel to elope. Mr. and Mrs. Adams discover their intention and tell Boyd of their discovery. Through an article and photograph in the newspaper it is learned that Gregg is wanted by the Italian Government for forgery. A fake hold-up of the automobile in which Gregg and Muriel propose to elope reveals Gregg's cowardice. Boyd 'rescues' Muriel from the 'auto bandits' and Gregg, when confronted with the printed evidence of his duplicity, displays a great willingness to leave the scene. Muriel, with her craving for 'romance' fully satisfied, throws herself into Boyd's arms."

REVIEW, The Moving Picture World, March 14, 1914:

"This picture has a plot a bit too old to amount to much as entertainment, although it is true that to many spectators even this trite story will be interesting. In order to cure a too-romantic miss, her parents conspire with the man who loves her and let her elope with her music teacher, whom they know is a bigamist and forger, then hold up the two, bring them both home and show the girl the forger's picture as a man wanted by the police. The setting and photography are of high quality, but the acting is not strong."
